Terraces on Seventh’s Open House event on Sunday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will give potential residents and their families the opportunity to learn more about the community. 

Guests can expect to get a guided tour of the property and its amenities, meet some of the staff members and residents, try appetizers prepared by Red Seal Chef Leif Soriano from the on-site bistro, and really get a sense of a day in the life at Terraces on Seventh.

And, as a bonus, those who sign a lease at Terraces on Seventh by June 30 will receive a free month’s rent.

At Terraces on Seventh’s on-site bistro, residents can enjoy daily meals prepared by their in-house Red Seal Chef. Menus focus on fresh and local ingredients, and all dietary needs and preferences can be accommodated. Community members can also look forward to monthly themed lunches and dinners, aptly titled ‘A Taste of Terraces’ featuring cuisines from around the world, as well as special menu offerings for special occasions and holidays.

Residents of the community live in spacious 1- and 2-bedroom suites that offer beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. For residents who love to have their furry companions by their side at all times, Terraces is pet-friendly. 

As well, each suite is equipped with a fridge, microwave, and cooktop, so residents can cook their own meals should they wish to.

Assisted living is an option for certain Terraces residents, such as those with reduced mobility, who want to live independently but require support with some of their daily tasks, such as bathing or showering, dressing, meal preparation, and medication assistance. Services offered through the assisted living program include housekeeping, an on-call nurse, 24 hour security, and dining room meal services.

If you ask the residents of Terraces on Seventh, the highlight of living at Terraces is the sense of community that surrounds the property, from the common area spaces such as the movie theatre, fitness room, social dining room, common areas, and rooftop terrace, to community outings within the South Granville neighbourhood and beyond.

The retirement living space offers plenty of fulfilling experiences, tapping into residents’ passions for knowledge, creativity, fun, and socialization. Through recreational activities, residents can socialize and enjoy their shared hobbies together, including musical theatre performances, knitting, baking, board games, discussion groups, and other special interests. 

Residents of Terraces of Seventh are known to take an active role in cultivating a shared sense of community.

Mrs. Joy Gaze, a seasoned community theatre performer, has helped to establish and organize a variety of creative programs, such as talent nights and a charitable knitting group called In Stitches.

Long-time Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­resident Muriel Morris is also enjoying the sense of community at Terraces On Seventh, where there is a series of daily programs that keep her and other fellow residents active.

“I am an early riser,” shares Muriel. “That’s when I get my energy. I always have a book going and staying active is very important to me.”

Another one of the wonderful residents at Terraces, Andrée Lajoie, sums up her thoughts perfectly: “There’s so much to do here and such a great group of residents and staff. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!”
