This year is about to get even more shocking!
In honour of the spookiest month of the year, Playland will be transforming into from October 9th to Halloween. Running from 6 p.m. until late, ‘A Night of a Thousand Screams’ will be putting a chilling twist on the usual thrills of Fright Nights past.
In lieu of haunted houses, the park grounds will be possessed by terrifying décor and a horror-themed outdoor walk-thru experience that pays its respects to your favourite haunts. The sinister and eerie sights and sounds are bound to be creepy!
To get your adrenaline rushing even more, Slayland is inviting the most daring guests to ride twenty rousing ride attractions in the dark, including the Atmosfear, Wooden Roller Coaster, and the Beast, along with the Scary-Go Round, Murder Hornet Express, and the Skeleton Swinger.
For a trick or treat fix, guests can pick up Halloween-themed candy apples and popcorn and also try the Pumpkin Spice Mini Donuts at Fundunkers.

For the first time in Playland history, guests will be allowed to wear costumes in the park, so you can show-off your disguise as you roam around Slayland.
Each weekend will have a different theme, including:
-
October 9 to 11: Superheroes
-
October 16 to 18: Fantasy
-
October 22 to 25: Retro
-
October 29 to 31: Your Choice
For the safety of all guests and staff, Slayland guests are prohibited from wearing costume face coverings — including face paint — on the grounds, and eyes must remain visible at all times.
In following COVID-19 health and safe protocols, masks will continue to be required in all line queues and while on attractions. Guests are encouraged to attend the site with their coven, brood, or horde, and to maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance from other attendees.
Also this year for the first time ever, children under 13 will be permitted (based on parental discretion) into Slayland — although the scares are still not recommended for children under the age of eight.
