Pacific salmon across the West Coast are facing many challenges, and they need your help for their survival.
Dedicated to the recovery and restoration of wild Pacific salmon in their natural habitats in B.C. and the Yukon, the (PSF) undertakes initiatives that support grassroots salmon conservation projects across B.C.; projects include habitat restoration, hatchery programs, education, and "citizen scientist" projects as salmon stewards work to address issues associated with climate change among other environmental pressures.
The non-profit organization serves as a catalyst, working to accelerate the regeneration and guide the sustainable future of wild Pacific salmon — a keystone species and invaluable natural resource in our local ecosystem. Since 1987, PSF has invested more than $62.7 million grants in support of over 3,570 salmon conservation and restoration programs in B.C.
Adapting how they raise funds in the absence of their in-person galas and dinner fundraiser event, the foundation invites those passionate about the conservation of Pacific salmon to join the Pacific Salmon Foundation's on Thursday, October 22nd.
The Virtual Gala aims to be of the same calibre as the organization’s signature fundraising events, but from the comfort of attendees’ own homes.
Starting at 7 p.m., the online event will be hosted by a live emcee, and will include updates on important community-driven projects, donation initiatives, and much more.
The Virtual Gala’s is now open for bidding until 8 p.m. on October 22. The auction features exciting B.C. getaways, original artwork, the latest outdoor gear, and other unique items and experiences thanks to many generous donors.
Aiding in PSF’s efforts to support streamkeeper organizations across the B.C. and Yukon regions, the Virtual Gala and Online Auction will bring stakeholders together to raise critical funds in support of the vital research, habitat recovery, and enhancement work of salmon steward communities across the West Coast.
