’s “So Dainty Hoops” 24 karat gold earrings are crafted and hand-hammered in small batches in their studio in Victoria on 鶹ýӳIsland — the jewel of the Pacific Northwest.
The “So Dainty Hoops” are a staple jewelry piece that's designed to stand out from the pack, elevating your everyday look with a statement earring that fits every outfit or occasion. Plus, the dainty hoops are lightweight and durable for daily wear.
Founded in Victoria in 2020 by Reena and Chris Stackaruk, LLUME’s pieces are designed to help shoppers spend less time figuring out how to style their jewelry everyday.
“I had this problem where I’d buy a necklace I adored, and then discovered it only went with one or two outfits. LLUME pieces go with any outfit,” says Reena. “They also stack well.”
Early feedback from customers proved that they had stumbled on a great solution for a common issue for jewelry wearers.
As Chris says, “We kept getting the same feedback in product reviews. Customers kept saying: ‘this piece goes with all my outfits!’ I love it!’’
Another problem LLUME wants their jewelry to solve for customers is comfort.
“Some beautiful earrings are a pain to wear. To fix this, we’ve engineered quality pieces that offer style and comfort,” says Reena.

With over 30 pieces now in their catalogue, LLUME’s earrings, necklaces, and rings are designed to be worn together and stacked. Reena says that this choice allows customers to “get more wear and enjoyment from their jewelry.”
This also coincides with LLUME’s mission for sustainable jewelry and ecommerce, as customers buy less jewelry, save money, and consume less.
LLUME wants to disrupt fast fashion trends by offering alternatives that don’t sacrifice on price or quality. Reena claims that sustainability is a large part of the brand’s mission.
“The #1 thing we hear from customers is that they wear our pieces every day. For us, that’s two wins: they’re loving the jewelry AND we’ve replaced multiple fast-fashion purchases.”
LLUME uses some of the most sustainable packaging in their industry. 100% of their packaging is recyclable or compostable, and 90% is made from already recycled materials.
Chris says they conducted a “worldwide search” for the most sustainable packaging available. “We looked all over Canada, the US, Europe, and Asia before deciding on a supplier.”
Reena and Chris believe sustainable packaging goes hand-in-hand with the brand’s “easy to style” collections.
“Our mission is to offer pieces they can wear and love everyday, and also the peace of mind that they are investing in something sustainable.”
Each LLUME jewelry piece is handmade or hand-assembled and shipped directly to you. Committed to supporting other creatives, Reena and Chris sources every material and piece from artisans in places they love.
