This year, joined the 2022 graduating class of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Campus when receiving her B.S. in Information Technology.
Since beginning her studies at FDU’s Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Campus as an international student from Hanoi, Vietnam, Pham has found confidence, independence, and growth through studying and practicing coding as a deaf person.
Today, Pham works as a software engineer for MasterCard. As a student at FDU, she completed an internship with Apple on its iOS Accessibility team, earned accolades in Apple’s Global Swift Student College through her work on the audiogram app for hearing accessibility, and launched programming groups like Code4Fun and SheCodes Vietnam to encourage more aspiring programmers to get involved.
"Like many other first-timers to Canada, I thought adapting to a new life here would be arduous, but FDU made it so easy and effortless,” says Pham. “As someone who used to hesitate to disclose her hearing accommodation needs, for fear of being a burden, I have since founded a club, become active in various communities and grabbed many opportunities from both within and outside FDU.”

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Campus has introduced a new , making the institution one of the most affordable post secondary institutions for Canadian citizens and permanent residents in B.C. Starting in the Fall 2022 semester, this new framework applies to graduate and undergraduate degree programs offered at FDU.
