With access to pedestrian pathways, communal courtyards and green spaces, a new vision for a live-work-play community is materializing in Langley’s Willoughby neighbourhood.
Welcome to local developer Essence Properties’ most considerable project yet, – a 12-acre master-planned community that is the next evolution in Langley.
Featuring contemporary design-forward homes, Jericho presents a forward-thinking way of life, existing at the intersection of comfort and convenience.
“It was clear that there was an opportunity to capitalize on the region’s phenomenal growth and potential by creating something special that will benefit the community and contribute to its growth for decades to come,” says Kevin Dhaliwal, president of . “We’ve envisioned and crafted Jericho as a landmark neighbourhood, a gateway into the future Langley. It’s a hub designed for truly connected living, for now, and for what’s to come.”
Crafting a comprehensive community
The ambitious project will come to life in phases, with the first being Jericho Park, conceived by Ciccozzi Architecture, followed by Jericho Square and Jericho District.
Jericho Park brings a dynamic collection of four, six-storey wood framed buildings offering 385 one to three-bedroom plus den condos and garden homes. It will also comprise two buildings with a street-level commercial component.
Jericho Park's focal point will be the open courtyard with a waterfall feature for micro-climate control and space to walk your beloved four-legged friends. Between the four residential buildings will be 26,431 square feet of amenities, which will serve as hubs for community events.
The building design is intrinsically West Coast-inspired, featuring warm Hardie panels and siding, classic brick, long board-featured walls, enhanced entrance archways and an abundance of glass to let all the surrounding natural light in.
To fully encapsulate its aesthetic inspirations, the amenities will also channel the West Coast lifestyle, with features such as design-conscious study and work spaces, a fully equipped gym and yoga studio, as well as a sports simulator for those working to improve their golf or baseball swing. Residents will also be able to enjoy two multi-purpose spaces, one with an outdoor BBQ and a seating area.
