Good news for those needing to head to the Fraser Valley or Okanagan Valley!

Starting on June 4, Ebus is resuming services in B.C. with a limited schedule between their Vancouver, Kamloops, and Kelowna routes. On top of that, the bus company is committed to their responsibility towards following public health guidelines through the launch of a new health and safety initiative.

With safety as their core value, Ebus will implement their program, dedicated to enhanced cleaning and sanitization, preventative measures, and elevated practices and protocols to ensure the safety and protection of passengers, staff, and the communities they operate in.

A few of the new processes and procedures to expect from the Safely Clean program are as follows:

  • All passengers will be asked health and safety screening questions prior to boarding.

  • Social distancing will be applied in offices, during check-in, embarking, onboard, and disembarking.

  • Face masks will be required for all passengers at all times. Ebus masks will be available for purchase.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available for everyone’s use.

  • All frequently touched surfaces will be regularly sanitized through enhanced cleaning protocols.

  • Drivers will ensure the HVAC is set to use fresh air at the highest settings possible to reduce the amount of recycled air, and filters will be replaced regularly.

With electrostatic sprayers, Ebus is leading the industry and ensuring the safety of all passengers by introducing state of the art cleaning technology. Electrostatic sprays provide a new way to apply cleaners to help treat surfaces, with better coverage than traditional cleaning methods. The result is a uniform coating of sanitizer or disinfectant on sprayed objects for a more complete clean, including hard-to-reach areas that manual cleaning can miss. On coaches, electrostatic sprayers will be used regularly between trips.

Riders can expect seats to be blocked to increase distance between passengers on board. Ebus BC coaches, which are able to seat 52 people, will only allow 25 people on board per trip, Blocking alternating seats, they will allow 2 people per row and will alternate aisle and window seats for extra space between passengers.

With all of these precautions in mind, passengers can travel with safety and confidence and be assured that Ebus is ensuring safe travel conditions for all on board.

With their Safely Clean program, Ebus looks forward to helping bus passengers get Safely Home.
