You know his name. Bond. James Bond. And now, the new centre, located within the new Delta Hotels by Marriott in Delta, is a name you'll not soon forget either, inspired by the character in Skyfall (2012).
Bond girl Sévérine exudes intrigue and elegance. She's enigmatic, soft-spoken, with an air of intoxicating seduction. From the moment you step into the beautifully designed spa and experience the one-of-a-kind specialty treatment rooms—undeniably—the correlation is apparent.
Opened on February 10, 2023, Sévérine Spa and Wellness has been welcoming guests to their full-service upscale day spa, offering couples treatments, facials, massages, body treatments, nails and waxing.
It's everything you could want in a spa and more, to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy some tranquil time of self-care. Not to mention, the hotel's pool and hot tub will be available to spa guests, too; complementary with all face and body treatments.
"The fact we're located within a brand-new hotel is a very unique feature for this area," says Michelle Knight, spa director. "Our location offers an element of privacy and seclusion and a real feeling of a getaway."
Exclusive, themed treatment rooms
Not only will your skin and body feel transformed from the various properties of each treatment, but your room will transport you to a blissful place based entirely on their distinctive elements from their feature walls.
"We have five beautifully themed treatment rooms (two couples rooms, three single rooms), and the design inspired by national parks around North America," Knight explains.
"In addition to our manicure and pedicure lounge, we have a fir [tree], rain, stone, moss, and salt room. The salt room encompasses our signature, Himalayan salt stone detox treatment. This is a full sensory experience, which is equivalent to a three-day detox, beginning with a lymphatic massage using Himalayan salt slabs, followed by warmed nourishing oils mixed with salt crystals and massaged over your skin to gently exfoliate and improve microcirculation and re-energize your body.”
She says: “Infused in the air are tiny salt particles from our Halotherapy machine helping with any skin conditions and improve breathing, especially respiratory issues. Himalayan salt is known for its purifying and detoxifying benefits as well as relaxing the body, leaving you feeling revitalised.
"People are drawn to the stone room," notes Knight, "the stone wall is made of basalt, a volcanic stone, the same stone used during the hot stone massage. It has a very grounding feeling.
"The moss room is a biophilic design concept, it is made up of different varieties of moss and is an extension of the living wall piece in the hotel lobby.
"The rain room is a spacious couples treatment room, where we offer side-by-side massages, facials and body treatments," says Knight. "The feature wall gives the illusion of looking through a rainy window, very appropriate for this area."
Spa product lines
Sévérine uses high-quality product lines: Eminence Organic Skin Care and Comfort Zone. Comfort Zone’s New Hydramemory collection combines science and nature to restore deep hydration and radiance, offering 24 hours of hydration to dry skin leaving it quenched and smooth.
The new summer collection from Eminence features a range of products designed to help you feel your best—think Pineapple Refining Tonique, to brighten and renew your skin, and Yuzu Solid Body Oil for supple, glowing skin.
"Eminence products are formulated in Hungary and Comfort Zone products are made in Italy," says Knight. "We use these products to perform our services and sell them for retail to extend the benefits of the treatment room at home."
She adds, "Our lounge offers clients a calm moment before their service. They can enjoy some tea, sip on some citrus water and just relax before their treatment begins."
