Who doesn’t love pinball with their cocktails?
For six years Colony has been one of Vancouver’s go-to destinations for burgers, beer and
Their in Vancouver’s Entertainment District sees the local restaurant-bar spreading its wings and growing into a beautifully redesigned space in what was formerly Caprice Nightclub, complete with eclectic decor and all the food items and drinks that made you fall in love with Colony in the first place. Colony’s other locations include Kitsilano, Main St and Northwoods.
For those that don’t know, Colony is a burger and beer spot that’s about so much more than burgers and beer. The fourth iteration of the local watering whole welcomes Colony’s signature take on good vibes and elevated bar food with a uniquely Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»twist.

Standout menu items include… Beer Battered Fries served with Lemon Pepper, Parsley, Parmesan Aioli, Baby Back Ribs, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches, Nachos, and even elegant Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches. Colony Entertainment District is also a Mealshare partner restaurant; for every Mealshare branded menu item purchased, one simple, healthy meal is also provided to a Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»youth in need.
Of course, Colony also offers a boundless array of comfort food favourites such as burgers, salads and wings in addition to numerous vegetarian/vegan options (Grilled Avocado Bowl) and lighter fare for those who love nothing more than to eat salad with their beer. Oh Vancouver, you just love salad don’t you? If you’re craving something plant-based that still on the indulgent side, be sure to check out their buttermilk fried cauliflower.

Speaking of beer, Colony Entertainment District serves from a respectable selection of local craft breweries including Whistler Brewing, Parallel 49, Strathcona and Driftwood. There’s plenty of taps on hand in addition to select imported and domestic bottles and cans. What doesn’t get talked (or written about) nearly enough are Colony’s cocktails, which feature cheeky, locally-inspired concoctions such as the Grouse Grind (Lot 40 Rye, Lemon Juice, Ginger, Black Walnut Bitters, Egg White, Rosemary) and the Kombucha Collins (Ungava Gin, Triple Sec, Rise Hibiscus Kombucha, Mixed Berries).

The new Colony space certainly stands as their most impressive to date. With giant wooden share tables, bench seating and a myriad of vintage pinball and arcade games, foosball, shuffleboard, ping-pong, pool and bocce spread out over two floors, this is definitely the go to spot to have some late-night fun in Vancouver. It’s a great starting off point for a night out on the Granville Strip, but there’s a very good chance you’ll get caught up and spend the majority of your evening right here. With good food, good beer and good company in tow. Who could blame you?
