From serving as the main ceremonial venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics to hosting sold-out concerts from Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, and the world’s biggest performers. B.C.'s premier stadium for live events is the site of countless sports and entertainment memories for Vancouverites.
Even when live events in the city took a pause, continued to light up the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»skyline through its iconic Northern Lights Display along the venue’s largest-of-its-kind retractable roof, illuminating its energy-efficient LED lights in support of our province’s first responders during the pandemic and in honour of B.C.’s indigenous community.
And now, the home of the BC Lions and the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Whitecaps is ready and excited to welcome fans back into the stadium to cheer on our local sports team during the season’s home games, with more exciting events to come — such as and the legendary Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in October 2022!

As guests prepare to come back and attend live events at BC Place, the venue has put some changes in place to make the whole experience as safe, fast, and easy as possible.
TOUCHLESS ENTRY
As part of BC Place’s commitment to a contactless guest experience, the venue has introduced a touchless entry process, from quick and easy mobile ticketing to a streamlined bag inspection process.
DIGITAL TICKETING
Safe digital ticketing will be implemented through Ticketmaster’s SafeTix system, with encrypted mobile tickets for added fraud and counterfeit protection that makes it impossible for your tickets to be stolen or copied.
CLEAR BAGS ONLY
Upon entry into the stadium, only clear plastic bags and/or one small clutch bag will be permitted inside. A bag check service will also be available for guests. If possible, leave your bags at home so you can enjoy the experience without any worries.
CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS
To minimize wait times, all purchases at BC Place are now cashless transactions. All major digital forms of payment are accepted, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. A cash-to-card system will also be available to accommodate guests who have cash on hand.

Another key element of BC Place’s plan includes the continuation of following health and safety procedures to ensure guests feel safe in returning to live events in the stadium.
In fact, BC Place is the first Canadian stadium to earn the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation for outbreak prevention, response, and recovery. Having met and exceeded standards for cleaning and disinfection within the facility, the GBAC STAR™ certified venue has rigorous protocols in place for a thorough response to biorisk situations, such as outbreaks and pandemics.
