Tiny solarium renting for more than $1,300 in downtown Vancouver

How close is too close to a kitchen?

Finding a place to rent for the right price in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»these days can be a challenge.

Balancing location with cost isn't always ideal. For example, if one wants to live near Vancouver's harbour, it won't be cheap. A private room in a place with at least one roommate has recently hit per month.

While that's well below the average of $2,900 for a solo place in downtown Vancouver, the room is limited.

It's a solarium, and as such, three of the walls have windows of some sort, be it the almost floor-to-ceiling ones that look out to the rest of the city, including the neighbouring towers, or the door that looks out into the shared living room, or the door and window that look into the kitchen.

Speaking of the kitchen, the room shares a wall with that area, and the oven is on the other side of the glass door.

The rest of the apartment appears to be fairly typical for the area, with plenty of light from other windows, and a balcony and laundry in the suite. And, if a view of the harbour is on the list, this does have that, with looking out across to North Vancouver.
