Photos: Almost $20M cut from massive Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»penthouse price

It was listed a few years ago for more than $58M

One of the swankiest penthouse condos in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has been on the market for a few years, and the price has dropped by millions since it was first listed.

In 2017, the condo was put up for sale at an , making it one of the most expensive residential properties on Canada's real estate market.

Except it didn't sell.

A few years later, it was relisted at a slightly , but there were still no takers.

Now the penthouse at 277 Thurlow St (aka Three Harbour Green) has been listed again, . That's $18.92 million less than the price in 2017 (ignoring inflation), which, coincidentally, is enough to buy .

According to REW records, it last sold in 2014, two years after it was built, for $16.6 million.

Currently, BC Assessment values the property at .

But what does $39.8M buy?

The five-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse covers the entire top floor of the building, which towers 31 storeys above the seawall and Jack Poole Plaza at the bottom of Thurlow Street.

One of the key features is the scale of the condo.

With 8,000 square feet of living space inside and another 4,800 square feet outside (including a "zen garden" according to the listing), it's larger than some houses in Vancouver.

It's also tall, with 20-foot ceilings.

However, the main feature is the view. Given that it's an entire floor on the edge of Vancouver's harbour next to the convention centre, there's a lot to see, from Stanley Park to the North Shore Mountains to English Bay.

Along with the living space, the property comes with a seven-car garage, three storage rooms and access to all the amenities in the building, including a concierge, indoor pool, squash court and more.
