Photos: Asking price for unusual Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»mansion drops by more than $7M

Inside it looks like an old European tavern.

A Langley home fit for a lord has had its price slashed.

More than $7 million has been cut from the asking price of the unusual Tannin Manor. Earlier this year, the mansion was listed for $35 million, making it one of the most expensive homes on the market in B.C.

And while it still costs a king's ransom, it's one of the lesser kings. Less Richard the Lionheart and more George I; it's now listed for $27.8 million.

While the price has fallen somewhat, it still comes with all the unusual features as before, including an interior design that looks like a setting for a fantasy .

There's essentially a tavern, a wine cellar and other areas that look very much like medieval architecture.

Other rooms don't necessarily look like they're straight out of Olde England but still have design nods like light fixtures that look like huge torches, stone archways and aged wood.

The 15,300-square-foot home also has a home theatre.

The property itself is massive, nearly 29 acres. There's a p workshop area larger than most Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»apartments, a pool house (and a pool), and a private helicopter hanger.

For context, an actual manor with hundreds of years of history on 53 acres of land in England is or about $8 million.
