Exploring a Demo Sale

My entire life I've been seeing "DEMO SALE" signs on telephone poles and on stakes like this one. I'm mildly curious to see what goes on at one of these but not enough to write down the address and actually attend.

My entire life I've been seeing "DEMO SALE" signs on telephone poles and on stakes like this one. I'm mildly curious to see what goes on at one of these but not enough to write down the address and actually attend. Maybe if I was actually a homeowner and I had something to build or if I needed a door or a sink or something I might check one out but there's never been a reason. Until now: it was right in front of me.

I was just walking by and there it was. Sign on the front lawn. Dude sitting inside of this truck waiting for people to come in and detach what was left of the fittings of this house in Mt Pleasant to fix up their own homes. I wish that the "good news" part of this story is that I found something super cool to take home with me but it's simply that it was fun to be able to wander around freely, picturing the original residents and wondering what would be going up in this house's place. I don't claim to be an expert on this city but at times I feel like I'm a professional explorer of it, so opportunities like this are kinda golden really.

Looking at the outside of this house you'd never be able to tell that it was set to be torn down to make way for a new home. Step inside and have a look around and you'll think differently ---->
