As construction is about to start on the new Emily Carr University on Great Northern Way (which we a year or so ago), and as the institution prepares for its move from Granville Island in 2016 that Island itself is finalizing plans for what they're going to do with the large space that ECUAD will be vacating. They recently released a Repurposing Strategy which was the result of a bunch of consultation and to say it's exciting that a live music venue will likely be going in on the second floor of one of the buildings would be an understatement. There are a number of uses they plan to put them to and are looking for input. Check out the document and offer your input on what they're proposing.
