are responsible for today's photograph of Arthur Erickson's just off Granville Island. There is a lovely little play between light and shadow on the falling water that Ruth (and Dave) caught, resulting in a different take on an oft-photographed Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»building. Nice clean composition, very graphic.
I'm fairly geeked-up today. If the name Erickson is synonymous with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Architecture, then the name that would be synonymous with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Photography would be (I know what you are thinking - what about Jeff Wall, Roy Arden, Stan Douglas, etc? Well, Herzog predates them all). And tonight at 6pm at the Equinox Gallery - just up the hill from the Waterfall Building - Fred Herzog's latest exhibition opens (for more info on the show, take a peek ).
And I can't wait.
