A little while back we to the Canopy Walkway at the . Rachel Bee, the lucky winner, sent in a bunch of photos and a letter describing the experience...
"Here are some pictures from the UBC botanical garden canopy walkway plus a few in the garden. I have to be honest and say I was unable to take that many photos, only because I was so scared. I thought it was going to be more ewok village and less Indian Jones style foot bridge. Don't get me wrong it was fun in that exhilarating scary kind of way. Honestly the thing is tiny you have to hang on will both hands, walk single file as it sways while you cross, and it's doesn't help any fears that your super duper high in the sky. Everyone must try, it's starts off low and short then once your in the middle it gets really high and the spans become longer and longer and you start to realize the only thing between you and the ground is a bunch of tiny wires held on by bolts and the see through metal walkways make it all the more terrifying. Seriously scary but fun.
Just wanted to say thanks for the passes and tell you how freaked out me and my friends were. Thanks again.
