Many of us who grew up in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»have visited Burnaby's as children at one point or another.  But, I've just recently rediscovered this area and it's now one of my favourite spots for a weekend walk.
Situated along the Barnet Highway on the way to Port Moody, it offers gorgeous views of Burrard Inlet and Deep Cove. The park has one of the best off leash dog parks in the area, which is great for our fur baby, Mickey.
It's also common to see people crabbing at Barnet Park. And the crabbing is fruitful, judging from their buckets full of large Dungeness and Redrock crabs. So, if walking or picnicing isn't your thing, you might just want to get into fishing. An annual licence is only $23.52 ($5.88 for a one-day licence), and that includes crabbing. The only stipulation is that you have to catch crabs larger than .
