A couple of years back we took home the Georgia Straight's BEST OF award for "", and while our non-profit organization that supports our web site (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», Inc) is focused on celebrating all of the awesome things that make up our city one of those things is it's proximity to other awesome places. In Super, Neighbours in British Columbia we take you on adventures to other B.C. locales that we think you should check out. |
I posted this photo of the resort from the air in my first post, minus the note in pink that notes the location of our room. We stayed in the Bute Lodge which contains two separate rooms, a common area and quite the view of the ocean.
Here's what it looked like in our room. Very comfy.
And you see that door top right of the pool in the photo below? That leads into the common area that we shared with the other room. A fridge stocked with drinks and sweets greets you here as well as couches, chairs, books, a fireplace and that view of the ocean through massive windows. It's beyond living room comfiness. The doors to the rooms are on the left in the photo on the right.
I'm more of a coffee person but I emptied the fridge and lined up these bottles to show the selection of alcoholic beverages they keep it stocked with. You're steps away from the resort's bar and the kitchen, and all food and drinks are included with your accommodations, so you could just go and drink in there but if you're feeling like "staying in" and mixing your own drinks then you're very well covered. Not pictured are the sodas and juices and mixes and sweets and waters.
With wireless internet, a TV, free long distance calls, an in-suite soaker tub, the rooms have all the comforts of home. And here's what was parked outside in our driveway!
I'll take you for a spin in that whip pictured above and on a salmon charter in another whip in an upcoming post but first stay tuned next as we warm up our fishing skills in the trout pond!
