Earlier this month a deer in Prince Rupert made headlines as it was rocking a mess of purple cloth caught up in its antler. The poor thing had somehow got stuck in a hammock in someone's backyard and a resident managed to cut away most of the fabric save for a puff of it that the thing ran off with.
The subsequently , hoping to capture it to remove the hindrance from its dome, and the buck became such a sensation that people were dressing as him for halloween.
Great news came this evening as the BCCOS announced that they tranquilized Hammy (yes, he had been given a name), freed the purple hanging bed from his antlers and released him back into the wild. He's seemingly not too worse for wear aside from a telltale purple stain on his antler.
