Every month since September of 2005, the Regional Assembly of Text on Main Street has been holding a where they invite people to come in and use one of their awesome vintage typewriters (like 30 of them) to write letters to their loved ones, for free.
I happened to chance by last Thursday when the club had gathered and made note first of the calming chatter of typing, then this mailbox which sits a half of a block up Main. I can only imagine the amount of heartfelt letters that have been deposited into this thing after being written during one of the club meetings over the past 4 years.
