Earlier today we published THIS opinion piece about Don Cherry's anti-immigrant rant on last night's episode of Hockey Night in Canada.
We also published THIS piece from the Canadian Press about Sportsnet apologizing for it.
Each and every day there's a new thing for the internet to be outraged about, and often times it's fairly transparent that it's one political opinion versus the next.
However the revulsion for Cherry's latest statement goes beyond the loud roar of a few really angry citizens. It bleeds beyond party lines. It has been condemned by not just "the internet", but noteworthy people and organizations - some who rarely speak out about stuff like this.
Below are 19 of them.

Christy Clark's former press secretary Stephen Smart.
We should all be supporting/remembering those who served, 100% no question. But comments that start with, 鈥淵ou people...鈥 are usually motivated by something else. Come on Don Cherry. Hockey Night in Canada is better than this.

Don Cherry should not be on Hockey Night in Canada next week. There needs to be some penalty for his hateful words. After that, that's up to Rogers and Jordan Banks.

Good to have this reminder after Don Cherry鈥檚 comments last night. Cherry鈥檚 remarks were ignorant and prejudiced, and at this point in our history can鈥檛 go without comment.
