LONDON, Ont. — Canada has some ground to make up at the Continental Cup.
The Canadians were swept in Draw 9 on Saturday by Europe at the Continental Cup, dropping all three mixed scramble matches.
Europe leads the race to 30.5 points, 20.5-6.5, after a strong performance that saw teams skipped by St. Paul, Manitoba's Tracy Fleury, Ottawa's Rachel Homan and Calgary's Chelsea Carey all fall.
The Continental Cup format pits Canada against Europe in a series of team play, mixed doubles, scrambles and skins games. Teams earn points by winning games and the first to score 30.5 points is declared the champion.
Play resumes on Sunday.
