An Onion Lake man facing child porn charges made his first court appearance Feb. 19 and is due back in court next month.
James Gabriel Buffalo, 33, is charged with possession of, and accessing child pornography.
The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit launched an investigation June 2019 and arrested Buffalo Jan. 15, 2020, after executing a search warrant at a residence in Onion Lake. Police say child pornography was located at the residence and they seized a computer, smart phones and digital storage devices for forensic analysis.
Buffalo was released from custody on Jan. 16.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 18 for election.
The ICE unit investigates crimes involving the abuse or exploitation of children on the Internet and is made up of investigators from the RCMP, Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert Police Services.
