Vancouver-based cannabis company, , is the subject of this week.
Health Canada is recalling 770 bottles of a CBD product because it contained a much higher dose of THC than is on the label.
The label on the bottles of their "Namaste CBD Light gelcaps" in question says there's .19 mg of THC when in fact they contain 2.247 mg.
That's 1,082% more than buyers would be bargaining for.
While that may seem like a lot, it's not enough to get you rippingly stoned. But it's not nothing.
Health Canada says it hasn't received any complaints about it yet, but the company has received one. And as of yet no consumers have reported any adverse reactions to the additonal THC.
Zenabis' head office is located in Vancouver, and they have two growing facilities in the Lower Mainland; one in Langley and another in Delta. It has two more greenhouses on the East coast.
The capsules in question were sold by the company to Cannabis NB, the government-run entity that sells Cannabis in New Brunswick, so no need for anybody in B.C. to freak out.
