A North Delta youth learned a lesson in when and when not to call 911 last week from Delta police.
According to DPD, on Feb. 19, just before 1 p.m. a school liaison officer attended a nearby school for a 9-1-1 call from a student. The student had already left the school.
“The school was able to confirm that the student was at his home residence. The student then admitted to police that his father had discovered that he had charged $7,000 online buying games. Police spoke with the student about appropriate times to call 9-1-1,” said DPD.
