These quirky vending machines don't have snacks and refreshments.

Most vending machines offer snacks or refreshments. Others offer a different selection.

A number of unique vending machines have popped up in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»over the past year, presenting window displays filled with items ranging from beauty products to crafts to toys.

Here is where you can find these quirky vending machines:

Art vending machine

Locals can find the city's first art vending machine inside the Bentall Centre.

There is a wide selection of prints, pins, stickers, zines, and other art to choose from, all of which is made by local artists.

The vending machine is always stocked with about 10 to 15 artists' work, with items ranging in price from $1 to $60.

Located inside Waterfront Station, this is stocked with various collectibles, toys, and action figures.

Other items include pins, plushies, cups, and phone cases.

Beauty vending machine

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»beauty brand Lash Dash hosted a vending machine pop-up at Holt Renfrew last fall stocked with vegan and ecological strip eyelashes.

The lashes varied between dozens of styles ranging in volume and fullness.

PEP vending machine

This pop-up vending machine was custom-built by Canadian singer Lights to celebrate her new album (it was also featured in one of her music videos).

Fans could catch a glimpse of the pop-up inside Vancouver's infamous exotic snack shop Dank Mart. The event took place in April last year.

Life insurance vending machine

The YVR airport used to have life insurance vending machines from which passengers could purchase last-minute insurance right before boarding their flights.

The machines were first installed in 1951 and a quarter was worth $5,000 worth of life insurance.

After 17 years the vending machines were banned from YVR.
