It might not feel too Christmas-y yet, but it's fewer than 50 days until Dec. 25.
For some that sent chills down their spines. For others, it's the most wonderful time of the year. Already.
So Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» polled 804 readers and asked the question: When do you start putting up holiday decorations?
Half of those who voted were locals, but it seems that whether you're from the City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»or the other side of the planet, voters agreed.
Fewer than five per cent are already getting those decorations up, and later this month, on or just after Remembrance Day, only another 12 per cent (or so) are joining in.
It really ramps up once we hit the Christmas month. December arrives and so do wreaths, lights and plastic snowmen as almost 56 per cent of the city are planning to get started sometime around Dec. 1.
Procrastinators still make up a sizable portion though, with nine per cent waiting until just before Christmas to throw up the holly and tinsel.
The remaining group, around 18 per cent, don't put up decorations up for one reason or another.
The poll ran from 11/1/2022 to 11/7/2022. Of the 804 votes, we can determine that 402 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:
