West 麻豆传媒映画police are looking for information to help identify a suspect after a 29-year-old woman was assaulted in Horseshoe Bay last weekend.
The 麻豆传媒映画woman was walking alone near the intersection of Nelson Avenue and Bay Street on Sunday, April 18, around 8 p.m., when she was approached by an unknown man.
Police say the man, without provocation, then grabbed the woman from behind and pushed her to the ground. They say the woman was able to stand up and run away to safety, and the suspect then left in an unknown direction.
The woman suffered cuts and scrapes and a broken tooth, as a result of the assault.
Police believe the attack was random.
“This appears to have been a random assault, which we understand will be concerning to our community,” Const. Kevin Goodmurphy, West 麻豆传媒映画Police Department spokesman, said.
“Our investigators have been working diligently to identify the suspect in this incident, and to gather all available evidence. We are hoping that someone has information that might help move this case forward.”
The suspect is described as male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a dark-coloured hoodie.
Additionally, police believe that a man who was captured on CCTV footage in the area close to the time of the assault may have witnessed the incident. They are hoping to speak with him.
