There was a significant presence of law enforcement in Valleycliffe this morning, March 20.
The incident went down on Chestnut Avenue. The street was blocked off for a time.
Squamish RCMP tell us there is currently "no risk to public safety."
There were two, what appeared to be Emergency Response Team vehicles, and at least two Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Police (VPD) vehicles and officers.
The incident was over and law enforcement was seen leaving by 8:45 a.m.
Local RCMP directed questions about the incident to the VPD.
A spokesperson for the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Police Department told The Squamish Chief that officers were "executing a search warrant in relation to an ongoing criminal investigation."
The spokesperson said they were unable to provide more information at this time.
