A person has been arrested in a recent Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»homicide, according to police. The victim was found on April 3 in a South Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»neighbourhood.

One person has been arrested in connection to the death of a woman last week, but details are limited.

On Wednesday, April 3, the VPD announced a woman had been found dead in South Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in what they believed was a targeted homicide.

"VPD officers were called just after 6 a.m. when a resident found a deceased woman near Rosemont Drive and East 57th Avenue," state police in a press release at the time.

The next day, police officers made an arrest in the case.

"They were arrested in Burnaby last Thursday," Const. Tania Visintin tells V.I.A. in an email sent April 10.

Police have not released the name of the arrested suspect or whether any recommendations for charges are forthcoming.

Additionally, details including how the woman was killed, if there are multiple suspects, and whether the arrested suspect is still in police custody have not been released.

"As the investigation is ongoing, I’m unable to provide more details than what I already have in order to protect the integrity of the file," Visintin tells V.I.A.
