You may have read in yesterday's Sun about a loud explosion startling Surrey residents in the middle of the night? This video below, posted on the Province of BC's official , shows that explosion which was part of the final stages of the old Port Mann bridge demolition. According to they normally would have done this work with cranes but due to the rail line and the new bridge being so close in proximity they decided to use dynamite at 3:30am so as not to snarl daytime traffic on the new bridge.
