Yes, you read that very long headline correctly.
Ryan Reynolds and It's Always Sunny star Rob McElhenney are officially co-owners of a soccer team in the north of Wales. Wrexham AFC issued a statement today that RR McReynolds Company LLC has completed its takeover of the club today.
"The new owners, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, have made a £2 million equity investment into the club under the terms of the deal," states the soccer team's website.
That's about $3.5 million.
“It is a special day for the two of us to become the latest stewards in the long and storied history of Wrexham AFC. Together with the players, the staff, the fans, and the local community, we can now pursue our goal to grow the team and return it to the (English Football League) in front of increased attendances, and in an improved stadium, while making a positive difference to the wider community in Wrexham," the new owners say in a joint statement.

While both are known for their comedy on the big and small screens (and social media) the statement has a more serious tone.
"All of these people will help us create the kind of commercial opportunities that the third-oldest club in the world deserves, and we will reinvest that revenue back into Wrexham AFC and the community," they say in the statement.
It was announced late last year that the pair would be taking over the team, but it became official today.
One of their new goals as owners is to invest in the women's side of the team.
"The work has already begun with Gemma Owen and Steve Dale in the community team on a new women’s football initiative," they state.
Wrexham AFC is the oldest soccer team in Wales and third oldest in the world, having been established in 1864 (three years before Canada). They currently compete in the fifth-highest league in the English football league system.
They also won their game today 2-1.
