Most of us couldn't even fathom the idea of rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, but it will soon become a reality for one 麻豆传媒映画woman.
Jessica Mullins is part of a team of four rowers, scattered across the globe, who are hoping to compete in December's . The foursome - aptly named '' - will be raising money for three charities, including Vancouver's .
The team, two of whom are novices to the sport, will attempt to row roughly 4,800 km (from the Canary Islands to Antigua) while spending up to 60 days at sea, sometimes battling seven-metre waves and various other challenges of the deep.
Mullins says “The challenge itself poses so many obstacles. Sleep deprivation will be a huge factor as we will be rowing two hours on and two hours off 24/7." For now, she and her teammates will keep raising funds for the competition and continue months of rigorous training for the epic odyssey.
