As of Monday, October 1st, the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»weather forecast is predicting a great deal of rainfall through the week; however, it is already snowing in parts of B.C.
In fact, a few of the province's major highways already had a dumping of snowfall on Sunday night. For example, the Trans-Canada Highway, Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, saw roughly 10-15 cm of snow at daybreak. The highway is expected to receive another 5 to 10 cm today. Following this, another 10 to 15 cm is expected to fall tonight.
What's more, the forecast predicts that more snowfall will continue to fall on Tuesday. As a result, Environment Canada is advising drivers to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions, as visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Further, motorists travelling on some highways will require winter tires on their vehicles as of Monday, October 1st.

While it is snowing in parts of the province, the Lower Mainland is expected to receive a great deal of rainfall throughout the week. In fact, Monday afternoon is calling for cloudy breaks with 70 percent chance of showers, but Tuesday may see thunderstorms.
The forecast is also predicting showers through the rest of the week; however, Sunday shows a mix of sun and cloud.
