While "Raincouver" is notorious for receiving plenty of spring showers, the past few days have felt decidedly summery in the city.
But the Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»weather forecast includes an end to the sunny streak heading into the weekend.
Across Canada, dry days with record-setting heat are expected to transition to an extended rainy pattern. Another Colorado low will bring "multiple precipitation types and a of the country," according to The Weather Network.
Cities from Alberta to the Maritimes saw temperatures soar above 20 C over the past week, although B.C. didn't see any of the same unseasonably warm weather. Ontarians saw the lion's share of the record-breaking heat, with many weather stations recording daily highs in the upper 20s for "several consecutive days."
Most of the country is expected to receive stormier, wetter weather heading into the weekend, including "fluctuating temperatures, sunshine, rain and even snow."
Northwestern Ontario may even see significant snowfall, with up to 30-40 cm expected.

While Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»didn't see any significant heat over the past few days, the region will also see a shift to wet weather. While Thursday (April 13) night is expected to be clear, temperatures are expected to fall just above the freezing mark.
On Friday, locals should expect a mix of sun and cloud during the day with temperatures rising to 12 C and falling down to 5 C overnight. The rainy weather is expected to begin Saturday, with periods of rain expected to continue through the weekend and into next week.
Environment Canada meteorologist Derrick Lee told V.I.A. that there will be a "more organized rain storm" over the weekend that will produce more continuous precipitation.
The weekend's rainstorm will be more of a "typical rainstorm" and won't produce as much precipitation as there was on Easter. It produced a whopping 40 mm of rainfall and the average total for April is about 90 mm, Lee noted.
