Goodbye, Sun: Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­forecast calling for a rainy week ahead

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­weather forecast calls for a dreary week ahead after the Lower Mainland saw sunshine through the weekend. 

Starting on Monday, Feb. 10, however, the forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 6°C. The evening is expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures dipping down to a chilly 1°C. Following this, Tuesday's forecast calls for a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day, with cloudy skies overnight. 

Wednesday's forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud during the day followed by periods of rain in the evening. After that, Thursday is expected to see rain during the day with a 60 per cent chance of showers at night. Friday's forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of rain throughout the day, while Saturday is expected to see periods of rain during the day.

On Feb. 6, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­saw its 28th consecutive day with precipitation, which made it the longest run of wet weather in over 50 years.

While Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­has seen some brief moments of sunshine, there has been at least a trace amount of precipitation each day over the last 28 days. At other times, the city has seen a staggering amount of rainfall or snowfall accummulate in a matter of hours or days. For instance, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­received a whopping 34 cm of snowfall in five days earlier this month.
