This is what a $700 rental looks like in Vancouver

It's cheaper than most other places in the city

For anyone looking to move to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»after a certain nearby election, affordability could be an issue.

For example, rents in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»remain high, and those looking for cheap options might not get much for their money.

Case in point: A  tiny space in a shared unit described in a Facebook Marketplace ad as a "cozy den-style private room," is renting for $700 a month.

Photos of the room and apartment show an objectively small room in a somewhat chaotic space.

Often the tiny rooms for rent in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»are in the heart of the city's core, but this one is located in the south of the city; it's not far from the Marine Drive Skytrain Station in the Marpole neighbourhood.

"The room is in a shared suite with two other flatmates," reads the ad. "You’ll have access to a shared kitchen, bathroom, and in-suite washer and dryer."

It also plays up the convenience of the location, highlighting how close it is to retail businesses like a Superstore, London Drugs, and Starbucks.

"The location is ideal for students and professionals," reads the ad.
