A Vancouver, B.C. woman had a decidedly bizarre incident occur while she was renting out her condo in Whistler. A man tried to rock climb after partying.

While it can be difficult to manage a property in your city, renting out a condo in a ski resort comes with a unique set of challenges.

In fact, you might not have ever fathomed one incident a woman had to deal with.

Numerous tenants create issues for landlords, but many of these problems stem from noise, not paying the rent on time, or keeping an untidy abode. In a few cases, renters act aggressively toward other tenants or make them feel unsafe.

And then there are instances where a tenant simply doesn't think an idea through after a wild night out.

A woman who resides in Vancouver had a decidedly bizarre incident occur while she was renting out her condo in Whistler. She responded to a recent call-out in a Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» daily newsletter asking for tenancy tales — the good, the bad and the buggy (plenty of rental horror stories are about pests).

"In the early 2000s, I received a call regarding my tenants," she explained.

A young man who was renting her condo had wanted to try out some rock climbing equipment that he'd been given for Christmas. Of course, he elected to try out the gear in the wee hours of the morning — and he may not have been sober, either.

"At 3 a.m., after partying, he decided to give it a try on the side of the condo building," she described. "He got stuck."

After getting stuck, the police were called and the fire department had to come to get him down.

"I was issued a fine by the strata," she said, noting that the risky renter eventually paid her back for the cost.

The landlord adds, however, that she "can laugh about it now" and that "most people are respectful of our home away from home."
