While a wind warning is still in effect for Metro Vancouver, it looks like the area might see some sunshine over the weekend.
Starting on Friday, Feb. 7, however, Environment Canada is calling for periods of rain during the day and showers at night. In addition, strong winds up to 70 km/hr will affect coastal B.C. from midday Friday until Saturday morning. With this in mind, Saturday morning is expected to be dry, with skies clearing later in the morning.
Saturday is also expected to see a high of 8°C during the day and a low of -1°C overnight. Sunday is expected be sunny with a high of 7°C and a low of -1°C, too.
Monday's forecast calls for sunshine with a high of 6°C during the day; the evening is expected to dip down to 1°C. Tuesday is also expected to be dry, but cloudy.
The rain is expected to return on Wednesday night, with the forecast calling for a 60 per cent chance of showers.

On Feb. 6, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»saw its 28th consecutive day with precipitation, which made it the longest run of wet weather in over 50 years.
While Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has seen some brief moments of sunshine, there has been at least a trace amount of precipitation each day over the last 28 days. At other times, the city has seen a staggering amount of rainfall or snowfall accummulate in a matter of hours or days. For instance, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»received a whopping 34 cm of snowfall in five days earlier this month.
