Firefighters sectioned off part of Rupert Street to battle a fire in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Tuesday morning.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Fire Rescue Services Assistant Chief of Operations Jarret Gray told V.I.A. a crew was dispatched to a fire in the back alley behind the 3500-block of East 3rd Avenue for a fully involved garage fire just after 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 15.
Twenty-four firefighters and six fire apparatus were dispatched to the scene and Rupert Street was closed between 2nd and 4th avenues. Their main line was spread across the street to bring water to the fire.
Gray said the fully detached garage was destroyed but the flames didn't spread to other buildings. No injuries were reported.
The section of Rupert Street remains closed as crews clean up.
The fire investigator is on scene but the cause of the fire is unknown.
