At least one person was sent to hospital following a rollover crash on the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Causeway in Stanley Park Monday afternoon.
A call about the crash came in at 3:27 p.m. Monday, said Matthew Trudeau, spokesperson for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Fire and Rescue Services.
The report detailed one vehicle on its side with smoke coming from its engine, around midway on the Causeway between downtown and the Lions Gate Bridge, he said.
"It appears that the vehicle was going southbound, but it's unknown what caused it to go onto it side," Trudeau said.
When fire crews arrived, one person needed to be extricated from the vehicle. "They cut the roof off and got the person out," Trudeau said.
That person was taken to hospital in an ambulance, he said. A second individual was also in the car, but was able to get themselves out. It's unclear if that person was also taken to hospital or not.
As of 4:30 p.m., fire crews had cleared the scene. The Causeway re-opened by 8:15 p.m., according to Drive BC.
