A Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»man has a bit more in his bank account this month after winning over $222,000 on a recent Lotto Max draw.
Gavin Wilson wasn't sure the numbers he was seeing were correct when he checked his ticket as he and his wife left a family dinner from the May 14 draw, according to the BCLC.
“I had my wife pull the car over to show her the amount,” Wilson says in a press release. “We couldn’t believe it!"
They really couldn't, it seems.
“She was shocked. We had to make sure it wasn’t a technical glitch,” says Wilson.
It turns out the ticket he had bought on the website really was a winner, netting them precisely $222,674.30.
Wilson says the feeling is "surreal," but the couple's plans are fairly realistic, with mortgage payments and investments the main focus.
