A global 'sugar daddy' dating site has compiled its annual report of the top "sugar baby schools" and two B.C. universities made the top 20 list in Canada.
According to , the world's largest 'sugar dating' site, there are now over 350,000 sugar baby students across Canada.
"With total student debt in Canada nearing $30 billion and the average student walking away with over $25,000 worth of debt after university, Canadian students have embraced a unique way to fund their tuition fees," explains the dating company in a press release.
The company also claims that students receive an average monthly allowance of "$2,400 among other benefits," which includes networking opportunities and career or business advantages.
While no B.C. universities cracked the top ten for the highest number of students enrolled, two of them made the top 20. The University of British Columbia ranked 17th on the list, while Simon Fraser University ranked 19th.
The University of Toronto has the highest number of students enrolled, with 257. The University of Alberta isn't far behind, with 231 students enrolled. In third, Queens University has 222.
