6 Downtown SkyTrain stations among top 10 busiest in Metro Vancouver

In 2022, six SkyTrain stations in or near downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­were among the top 10 busiest stops in Metro Vancouver.

From Surrey to the YVR airport (or from Sovereign Station to YVR-Quinjet Station according to the new Marvel transit map), the SkyTrain transports locals across all of Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­on a daily basis. 

A number of stations along the Expo, Millennium, and Canada lines are busy commuter hotspots. 

In 2022, six of the 10 busiest SkyTrain stations across the region were located in or near downtown Vancouver, reports . 

The transit authority measured foot traffic at each SkyTrain station by counting the total number of boardings, or each time someone taps into a fare gate, at each station.

Waterfront Station was the most popular stop along people's commutes with almost eight million total boardings.

Commercial-Broadway, Burrard, and Granville stations rounded out the top five after Metrotown Station which took second place. 

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­City Centre and Stadium-Chinatown also made the list, ranking seventh and tenth place.
