Do you love adorable baby goats?
Okay, that might be a rhetorical question.
While the Lower Mainland just emerged from the grips of a potent frosty spell, one popular family farm already has a herd of cute kids (as in baby goats, of course).
Located in Abbotsford, Maan Farms holds numerous events throughout the year, including its annual pumpkin patch, a haunted corn maze, a mother's day event, an Easter egg hunt, and much more.
But the farm's resident, playful goats are one of the biggest draws to the popular estate.
Operations Manager Amir Maan tells Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» in a phone interview that the farm currently has 14 of the pint-sized kids frolicking on its sprawling property.
"They were born just last week," he explains, adding that the family typically doesn't see as many baby goats in a season.
Typically, a mother goat—called a doe or nanny—will have one or two kids. However, the farm's goats are getting older and many of them are on their second or third pregnancy. This year, two goats had an impressive four kids each.
"That's pretty odd," he laughs. "Usually, you'll get two."
All of the babies and their mothers are healthy, adds Amir. While the farm isn't open for visiting right now, goat aficionados are invited to help name the babies.
"There are so many goat lovers out there. They can think of the most awesome names," he said. "We've always been engaged with the community so we thought that this was a great idea."
Want to get up close and personal with these pint-sized, hooved cuties and don't want to wait until spring break? Maan Farms has several goat yoga events coming up.
There is a Goat Yoga & Chai on Jan. 21, a Goat Yoga Wine & Dine on Jan. 29, and a Valentine's Day Goat Yoga Wine & Dine on Feb. 14.
The entire farm will be open over spring break for two weeks from March 12 to March 24 and tickets will be released soon.
There will also be a Baby Animal Easter Event on April 15, 16, and 17 and tickets will be released soon. For an adult affair, there is also an Easter Bunnys and Booze Adult Only! event on April 8 and 9.
