Longtime Burnaby favourite, Paul's Chinese Restaurant is set to close Oct. 31.
Owner Connie Lin told the NOW business is good, but the family wants to spend more time with their kids.
They've owned the shop at for 10 years, but Lin noted the restaurant has been in this location for more than 50 years.
Lin thanked the community for their support.
"We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your loyalty and support over the years," said a notice posted on the business' front door.
"It is because of customers like you that we have been able to serve the community and make a positive impact. We are incredibly grateful for the relationship we have built and the memories we have shared."
Lin said another Chinese restaurant will open up in the location, but it will likely have different branding.
Social media users on Reddit.
"I have fond memories of this place, never had a bad meal and good for a quick bite when the cravings kick in," one person wrote.
"It will be missed," wrote another.
