The days just keep getting moister in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»town.
Sunday (Oct. 17) was the "moistest" day of the year thus far, according to Rolf Campbell, who runs the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Weather Records account on Twitter.
The local weather enthusiast gathers data from Environment Canada to provide updates on weather that breaks or comes close to breaking records in the Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»region.
Campbell notes that Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»had a mean humidity of 96.7 per cent, which made it the city's "moistest day so far this year."
But Sunday wasn't the only substantially moist day this month.
A couple of other October days have been significantly moist.
With a mean humidity of 96.2 per cent, Oct. 15 was Vancouver's second-moistest day so far this year. Prior to that, with a minimum humidity of 90 per cent, Oct. 14 was the city's moistest day since Feb. 1.
Besides moist days, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has also had an extremely wet month. In fact, the city saw 73.4mm of rainfall in a mere two days on Oct. 15 and Oct .16. Together, they were "Vancouver's wettest [two] days in more than 16 years, since Jan. 18, 2005," explains Campbell.
