Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»digital artist is at it again.
He's working on a series of images, dropping some of Star Wars' most famous vehicles into some of Vancouver's most famous views. This time he's upped the difficulty level with a full-on battle in and around Stanley Park and the 9 o'clock gun.
"For part of the series, I used the planes from Harbour Air Seaplanes (a DHC-3) and the people on the picture to get size references for everything," writes .
The most complex of his Star Wars and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»mash-ups so far, the image features a huge AT-AT walker in the park while Rebel X-wings and TIE fighters rip around above the park and skim over Coal Harbour.
It's the third of Aste's pieces mixing a galaxy far away with familiar local views. Several more are planned.
"The idea is to showcase what it would look like if instead of another distant planet, it was Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»the one at the centre of the action,” Aste said in a message to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» about a previous piece.
Check out his images of the Millenium Falcon landing just offshore and an Imperial Star Destroyer hanging above Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»at night.
