September will bring on onslaught of road closures to Vancouver's biggest park.
Starting over the Labour Day long weekend -- a hectic time for Vancouverites travelling across the border or to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Island -- a series of large-scale events will be impacting traffic throughout the park.
Traffic delays are expected at the park entry from Georgia Street and park exit from North Lagoon Drive as commuters driving over the Lions Gate Bridge merge with those travelling through Stanley Park.
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Board of Parks and Recreation asks park visitors to use alternative modes of transportation, such as taking public transit, biking, and walking, to minimize vehicle traffic on the days of the events.
